Presents
Count Dracula

A Play in Three Acts
By Ted Miller
Based on Bram Stoker's
Nineteenth Centuary Novel, "Dracula"

Directed by
Kate Summers

The sun goes down, and soon the Transylvanian countryside is swallowed by the evening mist. Off in the distance wolves howl, heralding the appearance of a tall, black caped figure among the ruins of an ancient castle.

Allow him to introduce himself, but don't look into his eyes, for this dark stranger is the infamous vampire, Count Dracula. Once glance from him and you will become a slave to his will or a victim of his unnatural hunger for blood.

Horrible and sinister tales of Count Dracula of Transylvania have been handed down through the centuries. Rumanian peasants are still haunted by the superstitious fears  of the King of the Vampires roaming around open graves at midnight, transforming into a bat at will and returning to his coffin in the gloomy castle before day break.

Did You Know?
It is 100 years since Dracula was written
Short people tend to be the first people to buy tickets
Some people have purchased the same seats for the past five years
Tickets have been sold in England and Darwin
150 tickets were sold in the first two hours

Feeble excuses for being late for rehearsal:-
Van Hesling: " I had to pluck a turkey as big as a dinosaur!"
Harker: "I had to kill a snake in the kitchen before I left home."

The Day Care Centre made 200 spiders, and other industrious people cut out over 500 bats for decorations and tickets for the Meet the Stars party
It costs approximately $2,000 in copyright fees for the scripts for each production.
