This has been a very interesting project,
a big experiment,
a tiny fragment,
a snapshot into the Night Trawling project.
I had no idea things would end up like this,
it has taken me totally by surprise,
and I really like that.
Working with the digital tools has allowed me to create sounds
I normally wouldn't be able to hear.
Because of various reasons well out of anybodies control,
most of this work was created at night and in headphones.
Night time puts a completely different 'feel' on things,
the headphones can project you into a different world.
It's always interesting listening to sound or music that you have
created with headphones on, in different spaces.
My music normally is acoustic, drums, strings, and the like, played
with others in a typical band situation. Very much up and happy.
Night Trawling seems to be a lot darker, its almost horror sound
track,
That's what took me by surprise.
It's opened up a whole new project to put image to the sound.
So I feel this is only half the finished product.
The insight I have gained from this work has been very satisfying,
It's taken away my prejudice for computer-generated sounds.
And opened doorways to other projects.
A bridge.
A gap.
Unusual wings.
Beaming on to the future,
enabling microscopic sounds to be GIANTS
Who knows where all this will end,
This is the first time all this has happened.............
