Visit King IslandKing Island remains largely undiscovered by the hordes of tourists who descend on other island locations. Visitors still remark that “a crowd” is three people on the beach. King Island is a very friendly place, where locals and tourists mix freely.

King Island offers a variety of dining and cafe experiences on both coasts- in Currie, Naracoopa and Grassy.

Tour operators offering a range of experiences include: Currie Lighthouse Tours; King Island Trail Rides, FJ Rock ‘n’ Roll; King Island Alpacas; King Island Coach Tours; KI Discovery Tours; KI Tours, King Island Golf & Bowling Club; King Island Historical Museum; King Island Photography Tour, King Island Wilderness Walks.

Some of the most fun you’ll have on King Island will involve wandering off the beaten track to explore somewhere new but if you’d like a few suggestions we’ve prepared a couple of trail maps to help you track down the most interesting places.
Cape Wickham Lighthouse has a wonderful history, including an interesting story of original lens. Built in 1861 the 48m granite tower makes it the tallest in the southern hemisphere and a must see.

Easily accessible from both Melbourne (Tullamarine or Moorabbin airports) and Tasmania, tourism has become the growth industry over recent times and many business opportunities exist.
