Its spring, a time of warmer days interspersed with boisterous squally showers as the “roaring forties” welcome the equinox.
Down at Surprise Bay, its calving time, and the cows are grateful for the dry ground and shelter provided by the coastal sand hills that stretch along the property’s 20km of rugged southern ocean frontage.
Peter brags that his beef is seasoned on the hoof, with the minerals obtained from grazing storm cast kelp, and pre-salted with sea spray.
Naturally Peter and Yvonne’s favourite cut of King Island Natural Beef is seasoned CORNED BEEF which they love with Camp Creek garden greens and new potatoes.
