Past Productions

1994 - Little Shop of Horrors
A most successful first production for the re-established Dramatic Society. The stage, set and props construction, particularly the man-eating plant were outstanding. This production sourced a lot of hidden experience on the island with actors and stage and prop construction artists demonstrating extraordinary talents.

1995 - Dazzle
A space spectacular based on Star Trek featuring dazzling and sensational costumes for the forty different characters and a memorable Harley Davidson ride through the auditorium.

1996 - Something's Afoot
A challenging musical score involving group part singing and solo performers. Special effects included exploding staircases and man eating urns which tested the skills of the props artists.

1997 - Arsenic & Old Lace
The first non-musical production and a challenge to see if acting alone could impress the audience. Local professionalism and talent won the day!

1998 - Count Dracula
A satirical black comedy set in the 1890's with magnificent gothic stone walls and bats descending on the audience realistically set the scene for this very successful production.

1999 - Oliver
This outstanding musical performance with over 120 volunteers ranging from 6 -6 60 years won the National Community Links Award in recognition of the strong community, cultural and personal development role it played.

2000 - Dry Rot

2001- Its Now Or Never

2002 - 'Allo 'Allo
A most hilarious play, based on the hugely popular TV series, the stage version of 'Allo 'Allo follows the adventures of Rene, the hapless cafe owner in war torn France, and his wife Edith.

2003 - One For The Pot
A complicated farce based on 4 brothers' quest for an inheritance.

2004 - My Giddy Aunt
An eccentric aristocrat, her unscrupulous nephews and her low-born half sister
provide comedy & thrills on a tea estate in India.

2005 - Wild Goose Chase
The scene throughout is the baronial hall of one of the last few remaining inhabited castles in England.
It is the home of Lord and Lady Elrood, two of the last few remaining pillars of the English aristocracy.

2006 - The Real Story of Puss In Boots
There was no time for 'catty' comments. It was into it 'boots and all' with local talent
combining well-known Fairy Tales in an entertaining pantomine.
