Charter:
To act as an advocate for the health needs of the residents and
users of the Centre.
To make recommendations and to assist in planning services and programs
required by and for the community.
To identify & harness funding and other resources within the
community, by working with and in close harmony with all other Departments
in the 3 tiers of government as well as community groups.
To enlist support for the King Island Multi-Purpose Centre when
required.
To be responsible for the administration of trust accounts and bequests.

The main objective of the Auxiliary is to assist KI Hospital
& Health Centre by providing services and/or raising funds
for the benefits of patients and staff. Membership is $2 per
annum. New members are always welcome. Meetings are held quarterly. |

considerable community fund raising, the building was refurbished
as a Multi-Purpose Centre with all health and allied personnel
under the one roof. The building was then renamed the King Island
Hospital and Health Centre. |

building was renamed the King Island Hospital with general,
midwifery and aged care beds. |

Cottage Hospital was built on the site. |
