Diabetes Complications Screening Clinic: twice a year visits
from Physician, Podiatrist, Dietician, Diabetic Educator visits
up to four times a year, referral required form King Island Medical
Practice.
Diabetic Education & Support: Four sessions are held
throughout the year for individuals with diabetes and impaired glucose
intolerance. A good opportunity to find out new information and
meet with other sufferers.
Strength Training: A program for all community members.

Child Health Association:
Welcomes new members to its Playgroup
on Friday's between 10.30 - 12 noon at Reekara Community Centre,
and to its New Parents Group, 1st Thursday of each
month between 11 - 12.30pm at Phoenix House, 24 Albert St. This
is a time to socialise and talk about common interests and concerns.

Phoenix House: This community house provides a wide range
of programs for community members including the disabled and disadvantaged.
The following programs are held regularly: Literacy & Numeracy,
School Holiday Program, Phoenix Group (see Day Centre), Lunchbox
Challenge and cooking demonstrations. Phoenix House is also available
for hire by groups at a rate of $10.00 for the first hour and $5.00
per hour thereafter. We also have a 6mt x 3mt Marquee available
for hire at a cost of $50.00 per day plus a $50.00 refundable deposit.

Community Crisis Support Team: The Community Crisis Support
Team, as part of Community Recovery, consists of trained volunteers
who respond to those in need following a critical or traumatic incident.
Their service is to support families, friends and bystanders at
the scene.

Victorian Centres Against Sexual
Assault (CASA) Website
CASAs are government-funded organizations which work against sexual
assault. The services that CASAs offer are free and available to
all victim/survivors. They are based on respecting the rights of
all victims/survivors of sexual assault.
